This is equal parts something we want and something we had said we would never, ever take on again. But the land is the right size, a good shape, and a great location. The price was too good to ignore. We are ready for a new adventure.
This property is eerily close to the first one — similar but different. But better, really, for us. It is in the same area and the only property of this size we have seen since.
Last night I was introduced to the work of L’auracle, a young French woman who does tarot card readings. I watched the long (1 hour!) video in which she read the cards for my astrological sign, and quite enjoyed her in-depth intuitive reading of the cards. There’s one for each sign, if you can believe it!
The message seemed pretty clear: “Passe a d’autre chose!”
Basically, stop with the narcissistic contemplation of your past wounds and find the confidence to trust your intuitive/psychic gifts and move on to something new.
I’m indulging in thinking that I’m on the right path with what we’re planning on doing.
But there’s a scary leap to make. There’s fear and apprehension and self-doubt. There’s also a strong belief in the value of this path, its meaning, and that, as we place one foot in front of the other, our combined light will shine out ahead of us a little farther, and we will find our way.
If we continue in our current situation, the path ahead will me more of the same. We cannot continue like this, doing what we’re doing, and expect things to change around us, for us.
Are we simply bored? Perhaps. Unchallenged, unmotivated, apathetic. At times, frustrated and angry. Our pent up energy needs an outlet and none is to be found. Our souls, minds, and bodies need connection to a higher good, a higher purpose. Without that, life is a suspended animation, stagnant, neither going forward nor going back, simply existing until the time comes when we stop.
Some of you will gasp, when you read this (because you’ll know where this is going), but taking a sledgehammer and a crowbar to walls is some of the best therapy there is. A little more physical than painting, a little more dusty and dirty. It’s the breaking down before the building up. It’s the blank page for a new chapter in the story.
Yup. That’s what we’re going to do.
I can feel the excitement through your words. This is where you are meant to be, where you are meant to build the next chapter of your lives. I will follow your journey with great anticipation, a lot of pride and I have to admit, a certain amount of envy. I wish you great joy and happiness as you travel this path to self-reliance. I'm not going to say 'good luck' because I feel you have already passed that step when you found the property of your dreams. I see a long awaited trip East in our future.🤗😘
